Toilet seat mounted: information, tips and instructions for installation

Toilet caps made of artificial stone are often unique. They consist of a mineral or resin-bound material that is poured into a mold. Shells, stones and other decorative objects are enclosed by the artificial stone. Such toilet seats are usually a bit more expensive, but an eye-catcher in the bathroom.
Duroplast scores above all with its antibacterial properties - germs and bacteria do not adhere to the smooth surface. In addition, this plastic shatterproof and durable. These scratch-resistant toilet seats are also inexpensive to buy. Thermoplastic models are also considered robust and resistant. These toilet seats are also hygienic and easy to clean. However, unusual optics are not possible with this material.
Rare, but of higher quality are toilet caps made of porcelain and ceramic. These are especially prized for their ruggedness and are also easy to clean.

Before tightening the nuts, the toilet lid should be adjusted. Is he sitting in the middle? Does the toilet seat at the front close well and are the sides evenly overlapping? Then the screws can be tightened. Be careful not to tighten them too much to prevent damage to toilet bowl or ceramic.
For toilet bowl models with normal screws, a cordless screwdriver may be necessary to tighten. The seal is pulled upwards and the seat is thus fastened.
Problems and solutions when mounting the toilet lid
If you want to mount a toilet lid, you may encounter many a problem. Thus, threaded rods can not always be loosened with creeping oil only if they have been in use for a long time. Here you can work carefully with a metal saw. Saw the threaded rod above the ceramic, then the remaining material will fall down.
If the toilet seat wobbles, the hinges must be tightened again. These can loosen over time. But even missing rubber washers can be responsible. These should not be forgotten during assembly. Without the discs, the thread gets too much leeway. In some cases, the windows are too thin, high-quality versions should be bought here.

Toilet caps made of plastic can be bought from just ten euros. High quality materials are usually more expensive. If extraordinary designs and techniques are added, the new toilet lid can cost between 50 and 70 euros.
