White linen can generally be washed a little bit hotter than colorful duvet covers. Depending on the material, temperatures of up to 95 degrees Celsius are possible. If in doubt, consult the manufacturer's care instructions.

If the bedding label is no longer legible or faded, choose a slightly lower temperature. Not always white linen must be cooked. Especially if you change the bed linen frequently, often lower temperatures of about 40 degrees Celsius. Simply put a hygiene rinse aid in the machine to ensure hygienic cleanliness. In addition, it is useful for white bedding to use a bleach, otherwise forms a gray haze with time. Alternatively, choose a detergent that is especially suitable for white laundry. Otherwise, clean them with a disinfectant sanitizer at a lower temperature.

Do not over-wash colored bed linen

For a colorful bedding, it is important to remember that the colors do not fade quickly. For this reason, colorful duvet covers and sheets should not be washed too hot. In most cases, a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius is completely sufficient, since this washing temperature is gentle on the fabric fibers and the colors. It is only sensible to clean the laundry at 60 degrees if it is more soiled. From an even higher washing temperature you should look out for colored bed linen. Instead, you should rather put a disinfectant in the underwear.

Always turn colored duvet covers to the left to preserve the colors and patterns.
